  1. LuvDylan makes an excellent point, but there are exceptions to every rule. Note that gold, oil, and many other commodities have gone up recently, so if you can find stocks in those sectors that have gone down without specific company news, those are likely declining on margin sales, sympathy sales, and mutual funds raising cash. Alternative energy stocks aren't exactly tied to oil prices, but the need for alternative energy hasn't declined in the past week, and some of them are getting hammered. I'd suggest you look at ENER, AMSC, and FSLR. The need for fertilizer hasn't declined, but POT, TNH, and CF all got hammered today.

  2. Tech stocks like RIMM, AAPL, or Intel. Most all bluechip stocks have been beaten down to a point where they are a bargain if held onto.

  3. GM, AMD, ETGF, PFE and DISK are just a few.

  4. Most all bluechip stocks have been beaten down to a point where they are a bargain if held onto, but losses can make those bargains look expensive.

  5. Can you handle the truth??? None of them.  They are all down because of the 5 years of war we have been putting on credit.  That is why the dollar is sinking like a tank, and conversely why oil is getting more expensive.

The slide won't stop until the war spending stops.  But you won't hear this on FAUX NEWS.

  6. recession is a great time to invest

  7. Citigroup (C), Wachovia (WB), Wamu (WM) and every other bank period!!!
