What store is a good place to buy a piano/keyboard

Question

are there any stores where i can buy keyboard . I'm only 14 and im trying to save money to get a keyboard.

so are there any stores. something very similiar to like circuit city

Check on-line for musicians friend.com, or sweetwater.com, as these will have specs for the most modern electronic keyboards. Yamaha, Steinway, Baldwin, will have the best pianos(new) for the money, and have listings for local resellers(authorized).

Once you figure out what style of keyboard you want, used music stores/pawn shops may have some good deals, but beware, as they will have limited or no warranty, where as a authorized dealer selling new equipment will cover the items for problems.

Musicians Friend and the (affiliated) Guitar Center usually have the best prices on new electronic professional keyboards.

I have found 2 pianos at Goodwill (1911 Bell & Hann {tuned 11 times in it's first 15 years} for $50.00), with real ivory and a perfect antique finish, and even a scrim on the back from being in a church for 50 years), and a beat-up Yamaha Electric w/ midi for $150.00 {in need of much work), or Salvation Army Stores {1931 Wurlitzer Art Deco 31" spinet w/ 7 types of wood for the case)>w/ 7 people wanting to but it after I checked it out thoroughly<, and 1 for a friend in the want ads {functioning Player Piano w/ a roll hidden in the case,(after installing new bellows) for $200.00}.

I do recommend talking to piano tuner for things to look out for in a used piano, and have a few friends and a big truck with a lift gate on hand  to move it!

Well there are your regular electronic stores like circuit city and Best Buy. You also have your bottom end stores like wal mart, target, and k mart. The best place to shop for one though is probably guitar center. Call and make sure they have a keyboard section though...if they do you will find a wide varity and hopefully what you are looking for. There is also online purchasing....i reccomend www.musiciansfriend.com
