What can I do to get better at this?

I'm also curious about how much time some of the major contributors are spending in this forum. A lot of people are offering great, informatitive and detailed responses that must take some time to complete!

  1. Plenty of hot pockets and pepsi's.

    10 computers, many user names.

Lots of time on the hands.

Sorry, but that's how I see SOME users

jumping from level to level, which seems

    like overnight.

  2. Find a real interesting subject that brings out the best in you. Since you gave me that dream interpretation (I was QSQT), you can concentrate on Psychology section. If you have a specific hobby e.g. Mathematics, Archeology or something you have specialized knowledge, try answering most questions there. As your answers prove to be helpful to those in need, you will be automatically promoted to a TC rank. It depends on the number of best answers you receive.

  3. I think that I may have the answer that you seek.

Let's say you pick a category such as "jokes and riddles" and the maximum number of answers per day you are allowed to make is 120. Normally that would take about 10 hours but by opening 2 windows at a time you can answer that many questions in half the time.

I think that you get the orange box after you have posted the maximum number of answers over so many days.

Anyway that is the theory I am working on.

  4. Back when I was a Top Contributor, I used to answer 3-5 questions in one category 4-6 days a week.  I lost my "top contributor" banner because I only come to this site 1-3 times a week anymore.

I would just try to give informative and helpful answers.  Usually short and to the point.

  5. just give the right informative answers or else the trolls will accuse you of point gaming.
