Question:

What strollers are easy to shop with?

I'm looking for a stroller that I can easily steer with one hand if I need to, has adequate storage, and that has wheels that don't slide on linoleum floors. I can use my umbrella stroller with one hand and it's wheels actually have traction on smooth surfaces, but it doesn't have any storage. What suggestions do you have?

  1. I like my Zooper Waltz for shopping excursions. It has a decent sized storage basket, can easily be manouvereed with one hand and is nice and stable and sturdy. All told it's been a good buy.

  2. I hope someone answers this with a solution! I love our travel system because of the storage space, but it is so big and bulky and not a ton of fun to haul out of the vehicle and over and over again. I love the umbrella stroller because it is small and easy but again, no storage. I have seen the more luxerious umbrella strollers quite a bit lately...I wonder if those have more storage space?

  3. We recently traveled to NYC and borrowed a friend's Maclaren stroller.  It was WONDERFUL.  It was pretty easy to steer, had a basket on the bottom for our shopping, easily folded up with one hand and was light enough to lift quickly into the back of a cab.  They are pretty pricey (over $100), but they are really nice.

Almost everyone in New York had either Maclaren or Bugaboos, but I liked the Maclarens better.  I saw all ages riding in them (up to 3 or 4 years old) and they seemed to be sturdy.  The seat is removable and washable so it's really easy to keep clean.  It almost made me want to buy one, but we already have 3 strollers and we really don't need another :-)

  4. I'm stuck using a double stroller currently for my youngest two, but before i had my last child i had the GREATEST little stroller for my daughter. it was sort of like an umbrella stroller, it folded up easily using ONE HAND, and it took up as much space as an umbrella stroller but it had a canopy on it, and a decent sized storage bin underneath!

i *think* it was made by Cosco.

ill look for it on google and get back to you!

    edit:

well i was wrong! lol, it's made by Safety 1st, and it's on the cheap side too at 50 bucks.

LOVED this stroller! my husband and i joked about just getting a "side car" for it cause i really didnt want to give it up for a double, but oh well! love love love this stroller. it was so easy to fold down and weighed nothing! i could fold it up while still holding my daughter and put it in the back of my van. you slide the button over and mash it in (on the handle bar) then push down and it folds its self up nice and neatly standing straight up wheels on the ground!!

  5. I personally like the bigger and thicker strollers. They are more comfortable for my baby and they offer alot more support. They also keep her warm and secure (especially in the chilly seasons) and she can play with her toys without dropping them. If she gets sleepy, they are also more comfortable for her to go to sleep in, and some offer great head support.

  6. bugaboo bee, is light weight and has underseat storage.

Fold in one piece, really2 lights!
