  1. *  cat litter

    *  litter tray

    *  kitten food or cat biscuits (if you get adult ones you can add water and mush them up =] )

    *  pooper scooper

    *  scratching post (i dont think you will have to have one because my kittens dont use it but you might)

    *  cat bed

    *  food bowl

    * cat toys

    *  colar with tag

    *  cat brush

    and you can bath kittens but you have to do it quite alot, then they get used to the water and stop being afraid of the rain and water.

  2. I am getting two new baby kittens which are about 10-12 weeks old either tomorrow or tuesday. My friend from work went to get them. I got them collers-- i suggest wait a little on them if you get collers. I just bought them ahead of time. I don't want them to strangle themselves. I bought a smaller cat litter box because they are so small and their feetsies can't make it into the large one for bigger cats. I also got kitten food and replacement milk. Cat scooper, toys, this cat cave--ts like a playground for cats.. I got them shampoo, litter. That is pretty much all you would need. Hope I helped!

    Have a good day!

    EDIT:

    I got the kittens Purina kitten chow. I looked all over for other kitten food but thats all I could find at Wal*Mart.  My other cat, smorez is very very picky. She wont eat anything but 9 lives. She hates any other food. I suggest buy a small bag and see what they prefer and how they tolerate it. Just try that.. If you find one then there shouldn't be  runny p**p or throwing up etc. unless they are sick.

  3. You will need the following items...

    1)  Kitty Pan

    2)  Kitty Litter

    3)  Cat Scratching Post

    4)  I feed my cats Fancy Feast and they have lived into their 18th to 19th year, on average.  You can feed them Iams or some other special kitty food.

    5)  Some toys.

    Cats are really easy.  You setup the kitty pan before you bring the kitten home.  When the kitten arrives, plop him/her into the pan and that is it.  Kitty is ready to live with you.  My recommendation is to make the kitty an indoor pet.

    Good luck and I hope everything goes well.

  4. Hi

    You can buy tinned or sachet kitten food from any pet or grocery store to feed him/her until he/she's a year old and goes onto adult cat food.  You shouldn't feed the dried food you can buy, it's really bad for cats especially toms, some vets have tried to get it withdrawn.  a young kitten is better on goats milk than cows milk then go onto special cat milk rather than just your own ordinary milk because cats need lower lactose than humans.  You'll need  bed of course and I recommend one of the igloo or pyramid style ones you can buy because they like to hide away.  A kitten pen for the garden is a good idea too so she/he can enjoy out of doors safely.  A litter tray too of course. Personally I get on best with the woodbased cat litter pellets, I find it much easier to clean up than other sorts and smells really nice like pine.  I find the clay based litter too messy.  She/he will need three small bowls - one for water, one for the milk and one for food.  Occasional treats of a bit of fish or chicken are lovely, make sure there are no bones.  Fish is an occasional treat, dispite popular belief too much fish is actually bad for cats.  Oh, and a grooming comb.  Cats love being groomed and as well as being healthy for their coats its a great bonding session.  You will need to make sure she gets her jabs,  is microchipped, and is protected against fleas etc  There are lots of good websites and books on how to care for kittens.  We've kept cats for over thirty years and there is no better companion.  Good luck.

  5. We got our kittens an awful lot of new stuff when we got them and they ignored everything!

    The basics would do at the start I believe, just to get them settled in. A litter tray, feeding bowl, water dish, a bed of some sort could be a proper cat bed or maybe a blanket tucked into a box, a couple of soft toys and lots of love and patience! As for food any kitten food will be enough, we bought Whiskas at the start and once they got older we started trying them on other brands to find something else they'll eat in case we can't get the one type they've been eating.

  6. canvas bag and a river, get a dog ....much better!
