  1. If you're a guy.. you should want to be tall, girls like tall guys. I wouldn't recommend stunting your growth, but I hear that lots of exercise when you are young can stunt your height.  Don't worry about being too tall, everyone else will catch up to you, and you can be a pro at basketball!

  2. There are a few things that stunt your growth. The best way to maximize you grow to your full potential is to follow these rules:

    1. Eat healthy.

    2. Have all your daily vitamins and nutrients

    3. Rest!!! Get your 8+ hours of sleep each night. Don't stay up playing video games

    4. Exercise. Go outside and play.

    5. Keep toxins out your body. (no drugs or alcohol)

If you follow these you will one day be taller than me!!

  3. psh, you're 13 and 5'8 and complaning?

    I'm 16 and 5'5.

  4. smoking, drinking, drugs..

  5. Parents who smoke and drink and do nothing with their lives.

  6. 5'8" is still pretty short for a guy. It may not seem short right now because you are probably taller than your classmates. Growth spurts usually happen at your age and the rest of your friends will catch up.

  7. Start lifting weights. It will make you bones condense there by stregthening them. I lost half an inch of height becasue of weight lifting in highschool. Although I am a girl. I wish I hadn't done that Im short enough  as it is. Most boys should not lift weights before 18  becasue they will not reach their true height potential.

  8. if you harm a growth plate from sports etc.

  9. Lots of caffeine, and smokin' the weed.

  10. coffee stunts your growth.

  11. malnutrition

  12. Mal-nutrition is the number one cause of stunted growth. However, in your case, I think genetics will rule. Google this, "Guidelines for expect growth in the human male"

  13. That's a good height for 13...

  14. Caffeine, tobacco, pesticides, many many things...

  15. You seem pretty tall for 13, but anyways...

Bad nutrition could stunt a kid's growth. A lot of ADD or ADHD medications take away a kid's appetite, which makes them not want to eat anything, which will make them smaller than other kids. I've seen it with kids I work with, so I know it's true.
