  1. In many street fights, all the martial arts guys are getting knocked out cuz in the streets it isn't  about how high you can kick,it is about how strong you hit and with what you hit and where you hit.

To answer your question,I recommend kickboxing ,muai thai, and taekwondo, lots of varied techinques, lots of awesome combos.

  2. Boxing is the best for self-defense.

  3. naked fightings always fun.

  4. Kenpo.

  5. Kenpo is a great style... Shorei-Goju-Ryu also teaches you a LOT of good training and fighting methods...

    You could also try Shotokan.

All those a GREAT styles to study.

  6. Ju-Jit-Su i used to do it it is way better than karate by far ive done them both :)

  7. uh... Tae-Kwon-Doe or Caporiea really cool martial arts Caporiea is a brizalin martil arts and gets the opponet confused with its coool move trust me Caporiea is ur best chance

  8. KRAV MAGA...

  9. brazilian jiu jitsu: it is the most effective martial art there is.

  10. Brazillian Jui Jitsu if your a smaller guy

Muay Thai is also good for striking

Shoot Wrestling combines the two above

  11. How about 'naked Krav Maga'?  I started in karate because it was 1. taught near where I live; 2. on a night I was free; 3. the first class was free (I am Scottish after all).

In combat fitness and speed are everything technique comes in very usefull too, hope that helps

  12. You are looking for self defense.  Kempo is a good self defense, and so is Krav Maga.  check into what's available in your area and let  the instructor know that you need it for self defense and see how far that gets you with him.

  13. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  It focuses on using your opponent's strength against them and deals with a lot of grappling and ground fighting.  It's about getting the other person to submit and uses a lot of chokdholds and joint locks.  It has improved my reaction time so people who do get a punch or kick out on my I find is easily blockable and it doesn't matter how big the other person is because it's not about size, it's all skill.

  14. Real Japanese jiu-jitsu combined with western Boxing from a good a knowledgeable coach :)***

  15. I read alot of the answers on your question, and most of them are stupid.

Dont try a grappling martial art, it takes too much time.

A SERIOUS ninjitsu school would help, as that martial art is designed to kill

Stay away from most weapon martial arts

Your best bet would be boxing, kick boxing, or maybe mma.

If the situation has up against more than one opponent, do anything in your favor to get away, cause that situation could go very wrong very quick, same goes for if someone pulls a weapon on you.

  16. That really depends on your style and the style of your opponents.. You can do.. uh Taikwondo or... Aikido whatever that is... The most primitive fighting skills can be really useful.. Ha ha ha...

  17. kung-fu,karate,taekwondo,ninja-style,chi... style,sissy guys style,cat style.....and many more.

  18. Boxing hands down... a good punch will drop someone quick.

  19. It would be wise to not grapple (wrestling, BJJ) when there are other opponents.

One art is not going to be your end-all be-all.

Your priorities should be in this order. Learn punching > takedown defense > ground fighting > takedowns > kicking > trapping.
