  1. nancy boy stuff

  2. I do prefer Canadian football to the NFL.  Longer, wider, less downs, fewer time outs, no fair catch, more men in motion.

  3. the good style

  4. Americans play the fake Canadian way. The English play a game which hasn't evolved at all from the only way an elephant is capable of playing.

BTW The footballs used in the National Football League are identical in size and weight to the ball used in the Canadian Football League.

  5. Both football and football. Only they call it soccer ,,,, eh? I'ts raking in billions of dollars. Don't sound all too fake to me.

  6. both....

in Canada, there is the Canadian Football League(CFL)-they play what you call American Football in the CFL

There is the United Soccer League(USL) in Canada and the USA as well as Major League Soccer(MLS) in the USA and which will have a Canadian team next year. We call this sport soccer, but this is what you would call football

  7. are you from London

  8. We play football the proper Canadian way in Canada.

  9. go leafs go

  10. No 4th DOWN.  A team must make a first down in three plays.

  11. the entertaining Canadian way, which is like the American way, not the boring english way. That's called soccer here.

  12. Are people really that clueless they can't use these things called search engines and type in "Canadian football" to figure out what the CFL is about?

It's neither, you Land of Eng twit, it's the Great White North way with loads of scoring, tons of action, wide open aerial attack and actually wicked hits where bodies go flying unlike your "proper" World Metrosexual Diving Cup that just finished in Germany.

Don't be so smug about that sport you think is so great because it's popular (last time I remember a Brit act as #1  in the world was the Spice Uglies...the masses have no taste...popularity does not equal quality in the majority of cases) after the farce that passes for modern soccer in '06. Give me the '70s and '80s anyday for soccer than that junk you call "proper" football.

I guess you must lead incredibly dull lives there if you think 0-0 or 1-1 then deciding a "world" championship with a sklls competition is entertainment...I'll take the CFL in 2006 over the World Cup 2006 anyday.

  13. the ball is made of snow and ice.  All players wear seal skins on their shoulders, and buffalo hides on their backs.  Their helmets are made from coconut shells, imported from the Dominican Republic.  Different teams have different emblems on their helmets - my favourite would be the live penguins.

The goal of the game is to get the ice ball as far as possible from the opposing team, unless of course there is a chance of depositing it in the opposing team's igloo - this is called "blowing the big ice house".  If that happens, then the game is over and a round of Canadian beer is served.  Otherwise, running in circles away from the opponents without being touched is the goal - the longer one stays away from the opponents, the more popsicles are added to the score.  The team with the most popsicles wins.  Tackling is allowed in order to take possession of the ice ball, but only if the defensive team yodels in the process of tackling.  If the person does not yodel, they are penalized for 3 hours, given 6 bottles of Molson Canadian beer to drink, and have to sit in the ice-fishing house for the duration of the penalty.  Sometimes players are given repetitive penalties for more serious infractions, and are given another 6 beers for every three hours in the ice house.  The longest-known serving penalty began in 1987, and still has not concluded.  However, empties are being periodically removed from the premise.  Therefore, the 1987 championship game is still undecided as the season has not yet been completed.  Upon completion of this penalty, officials are unsure of how to conclude this season as many of the participants have already died, and substitutions cannot be made without the player's consent.  Bottom line, it's a great game - go Roughriders!!!

  14. It's the REAL DEAL. They play CANADIAN FOOTBALL. The field may be 10yds longer and 25yds wider with 1 extra man, but they only get 3 downs to reach a first down(10yrds)

  15. The CFL is more exciting then the NFL but the NFL has better quality.  The CFL has 12 men on the field, 110 yard fields, a single point on a touchback and 3 downs. Scores in the NFL are usually about 17-10 and in the CFL it's about 25-17.  It's higher scoring and more exciting but the NFL has better players.

  16. The CFL does have a longer field than NFL, it does also have a wider field. The ball is bigger, and the game is faster, it is also tougher cause you only have 3 downs to get a first. I enjoy CFL every bit as much as NFL except there are no NFL teams in Canada. Also I find the CFL players enjoy the game more, 'cuz the money in the CFL is c**p. It does seem to be more of a pure version of the NFL

  17. It's metric football.
