What sub woofer is better a kicker or an mtx???

i just want to know which one is the best!!!

it depends on the level of the sub- entry level or high end.

but if you are comparing subs in the same class i would go with kicker all day

both manufactures are CEA-complaint which means that their amps produce or exceed (kicker always exceeds) the advertised RMS wattage and their subs can handle their rated RMS wattage also- so both are built up to the same standards, it just comes down to personal preference

I like both but , the kicker stuff is engineered a little bit better, just my 2 cents.

they're both really good brands i know a friend that always gets kicker and they hit hard but i have a mtx and they hit pretty damb sweet

Kicker's been around a lot longer?  The company started in 1973 as Stillwater Designs.  MTX started in 1979.  They've both been around long enough.

They're both pretty good.  Choice is preference.  I've owned both, enjoyed both, have very few complaints of both.

Best way for you to determine which is best is for you to listen to both and make your own judgment.  We can all tell you what we think is best, but all that matters is what you think is best.

depends on the exact models you are comparing.

if it will be higher-end L7 kicker subwoofers, then kicker.

any other subs, i would choose mtx.

but the high-end Thunder series from mtx is much better than the L7.

i bet not alot of people here have my same experience to give a reasonable advice. they probably only go with the more known brand or with the brand they have without actually been able to compare both brands from experience.

i have ran both brands the kicker has a small edge over the mtx because of there street credit. how ever a l7 will not be any louder than a 9500. i no i have tested this theory in my buddys shop with a termlab. i built both boxes to spec. same power same track and the mtx was acttualy 1 db louder. but its also 200 dollars higher. i would go with kicker to fit in with all your friends. or mtx to add some custom flavour by being solo with them. hope this helps.
