  1. child development

    Geography

    Welsh

double award science and the obvious english and maths

  2. English, Maths, Chemistry, History, Arithmetic ,Physics and French

  3. Don't listen to your friends.

I took Geography, Art & French.

We had to take either Art, Dancing, Drama or Music though as our school was a arts college.

  4. Don't listen to that nonsense about not taking a language. Only do it if you enjoy it and is part of something you many want to do in future.Everyone is different, they should know this.

    Okay, so I took:

    -ICT

    -Media

    -Graphic products

    -Sociology

    and Core was:

    -English lang/lit

    -Maths

    -science(single award)

my choices centre around the fact that I want to go into accounting or the production business :) It's all down to you.

  5. I took geography, german, religious education, textiles and stats.

Geo & RE are great- trust me.

I suppose whilst it is good to have a language it won't really limit your job opportunties much I should think.

  6. I didn't do GCSEs because they hadn't been created. I did GCE "O" levels. My subjects were biology, chemistry, English language, English literature, French, history, maths and politics.

I then did biology, chemistry and politics "A" level. At university my degree was biological chemistry, followed by an MSc by thesis in chemistry.

  7. i took Art, History and ICT

did really well in em all :)

got B's in art and history and 3 A's in ICT

no good taking a language if your not gonna enjoy it

my headteacher was talking to me today saying how well im gonna do in my a-levels and degree

not having a language, doesnt mean your gonna get a bad job!

  8. I took drama, science , eng, eng lit, maths, re, ict, food, geog, french, german.

If you aren't going to enjoy languages then don't take them because it does need commitment especially with oral prep. Not having a language will not affect whether or not you get a good job- it can just be an advantage, but then many thing can be. It is mainly in business they like you to have a language and if you don't want to take it at GCSE level, you most likely aren't going to want to pursue it as a career option so just go with what you enjoy!

    Hope this helps :-)
