  1. Most flight schools have no requirements for previous education.  You just have to be up to the challenge.

Do well at what you do, whatever it is, because aviation requires you to always be aware, no matter what the task at hand is.

    But, yeah:  Geography, Algebra, Physics...

It wouldn't hurt to throw in a second language and maybe even an art class.  You don't want to end up some geeky techno pilot with no finesse whatsoever.

Also, plan to continue studying throughout your life.

  2. Go heavy on Math (Geometry, Algebra 2, Trig/Pre-Calc), Physics, Chemistry and English.

I've heard personality is a major issue when deciding who to hire as a pilot.  If you're a thrill-seeker, like to take chances type, you may have difficulty becoming a pilot. You also have to keep your cool when tough situations arise.

    Best of luck to you.

  3. This is minimum criteria to be a pilot for Qantas:

    Education

    - Passes in English and Mathematics at a level equivalent to or higher than the NSW Higher School Certificate Examination

-or Fully completed Bachelor’s Degree of any discipline

    Hope all goes well.

  4. Math, Physics, Astronomy, Geography, etc.
