What subjects in year 11 should i choose if i want to be a journalist?

Is it really hard to be ajournalist because i am pretty smart and a good speaker in english i write good storys but sometimes not good essays.

i'm in the top english class.

If your school offers a Journalism class, enroll in it. Join the journalism club, yearbook, work/volunteer for a youth or local newspaper in your community. Request letters of recommendation, specifically, from your English teacher, journalism class teacher, etc.
