  1. Look what you chose universities want sometimes a contrasting Alevel is more desirable than another science one.

  2. For a Pharmaceutical career, you will need Chemistry most definitely, and two other Science based subjects, so either Biology & Phsyics, Biology & Maths, or Maths & Physics. There's nothing stopping you from taking all of them and dropping one at AS Level. You will still get a qualification out of it.

Before you actually start working in a Pharmacy, you will need to have completed a 4 year MPharm degree and a one year registration course in a Pharmacy of your choice.

Your best bet is to now look at different Universities that offer a Pharmacy degree and look at the entry requirements whilst you are still choosing your subjects. This website may also be of help to you:

It's a job profile for a Pharmacist outlining what you do, salary and qualifications etc.

    Good luck, hope I helped

  3. Either  one, it won't matter. Maths is definately more beneficial though.

  4. maths, sociology is interesting but totally pointless

  5. I study Biochem, but its very similar to Pharmacy, i say do Bio, chem, maths and physics.. those is what i do. the physics will help u alot. And iv been to a few sociology lectures...trust me its a bore. the Maths heps u with alot of chemistry aswell, cos the concepts are similar. if u dont want to do maths or physics try doing statistics. hope this helps:)

  6. i did biology it was interesting we did quite a lot of practicals with hearts and microbes and stuff which was cool. Erm maths is the best thing you can do but its also the hardest, i think most colleges want you to get atleast a B in GCSE to do that.

If you can do the math do it but i heard sociology is a bit easy which may allow you to commit more time to the other two which mean more to you.

good luck, you can always look up the sylabuses on the internet and find out what you will be learning to see if you will enjoy it, or check out the books for AS sociology and Math and see which one is for you, and talk to the tutors because its an important decision which its not too late to change if you realise say before christmas that its not for you you can swap subjects but its best to get it right from the start.

  7. I thinks Maths would be more useful than Sociology for your future career path. Good luck!
