  2. Definitely from Sydney.

    It could be an office number. Most numbers begin with a '9' here although I can't guarantee that no residential numbers begin with an '8'. There are, but very little.

  4. I live in Redfern (sydney) and have a number that starts (02) 808x xxxx.

    It's an Optus number, the started every number with a 9 before but new numbers get an 8 now...

    so it may be hard to pin point the suburb

    But this is odd - I just typed the number into Google and found this
