I have a 2008 scion xb

the base on it is not terrible, but like most sound systems the stock models are not that great. So i want to get a sub woofer for it.

The first criteria i have is price, i dont want to spend to much so somewhere about 200 bones is good, or less

The other criteria i have is space, because it is a hatchback, i want to keep as much space as i can in the back, so probly something that is already cased. I have heard of bazooka's but i got mixed reviews.

If you respond to this, recomend a few kinds that i can research, and if possible give me some information about subwoofers, im kind of new at this

thanks-

  1. NOOOOO...NO BAZOOKAS....they sound horrible....go to hifisoundconnection.com    they have stuff for way less

  2. I have 2 of the Pioneer Champion Series subs in my truck. they sound great! also, here is the amp i have pushing my subs. its a really good setup for the price. and Pioneer is awesome.

  3. if you want good sound, your in luck cuz a hatch back is great when it comes to preforming subs. price is a deal breaker tho. although if you do some smart shopping you can find a steal for next to nothing. i bought a combo kit at best buy including a rockford fosgate p2 12" and a rockford fosgate 3200 model amp for $135, it only came with one speaker so i bit my tounge and bought a single rockford to match up with the one i just bought and i got it at best buy as well for $79....in my opinion rockford is worth the money for what kind of sound you want, so save up and do some shopping around, the internet is a great place to find a deal....after you do all your searches just decide on the one that best fits your lifestyle and pocket book...but for a little over $200 i got a spectacular system...everyone wants it and cant figure out how i got it so cheap....so just shop around till you find what will fit your pocket and your ride. but please dont buy ANYTHING from wal-mart, if you want good sound and sound that will last

you can find a custom built box to fit your car at almost any car audio center for about 35 bucks

    hope i helped
