What suntan lotion should I use? ?

I'm going to the lake tomorrow and im going fishing with my daddy. I want to get tan, but i don't want to get burned. I bought Neutrogena Clean Feeling suntan lotion with an SPF of 30. Is that too high? I don't want to burn, but i want to tan. Help! =)

  1. 30 is definitely high.  

    I have pretty pale skin and I use a 15 if I'm going to be out all day.  Try the banana boat stuff, it's pretty good.  They have it in 4, 8, and 15.
