What supplies do you need to make a scarecrow?

1) tall vertical pole (7' +/-) to stake into ground

2) shorter vertical pole attached  perpendicular to tall pole approximately 1/4 distance from top of pole for arms.

3) Clothes, i.e. shirt and pants for body of scarecrow.  Belt (old rope) for waist.

4) Pillowcase or bag and rope to form head of scarecrow

5) Straw to stuff the body and head to give form.

6) Old hat for topping things off.

Inside tip, Scarecrows don't really work but if its just for decoration have fun building it.

I would say some 2x4's for the stake, some heavy duty fabric, like hemp or a thin vinyl, twine for wrapping, hay or batting to stuff the scarecrow, and some nails and a hammer...or a nail gun.

That sounds like it could create a scarecrow. I've never built one before.
