What supplies to bring on the first day of High school?

Okay, if you are going to high school for the first time, and you are a freshmen what supplies do you need on first day of school ? Hints on how to survive in high school would be nice, because this is my first time going to high school and not having any friends in the same class!

yesterday was my first day. all you really need to bring is like a notebook (binder w/paper or spiral) on the first day and the teachers will tell you what you need for their class  the 1st or 2nd day. well i only have one class with none of my friends and that is one of my electives and it sucks cause my bff that is in my other elective like she isnt supposed to be in there so she is getting her schedule changed so i will have 2 classes. anyways just find your friends when you get there and it will be alright. like i thought it would suck not having any of my friends in 2 classes but it actually isnt that bad you actually get to focus on your work instead of your friend

but anyways, bring the essentials [backpack, paper, pens, pencils, erasers, calculator, highlighters] and your teachers will tell you everything else that you would need

how to survive high school... i personally like it when my friends are not in the same class as me because i would get less distracted and i would make friends a lot easier and faster

all you need is a pen/pencil, some paper, and a folder.

you really won't need a notebook, calculator, or even a backpack on the first day of high school.

you will probably not be starting any lessons in any of your classes on the first day. teachers might go over the rules, some basics, a class overview, and what supplies you will need.

2. lots of people are going to be confused the 1st day of school, i'm going to be a junior this year, and i'm probably still going to be confused.

3. in my freshman year, i didn't have any friends in any of my classes(because my school is made of about 3800 students, and from 13 different schools and different grades)

4. have fun! and upperclassmen can smell fear :]

Also, to survive high school keep up with your grades and homework, stay away from the drama and don't worry about being popular or having a million friends. Be yourself and make it the best you can, cause it will fly by before you know it.
