What surround sound home cinema system is best for me?

I have a Toshiba 37X3030DB LCD HD Ready TV - I am going to buy a Toshiba HD-EP35 HD DVD Player and I want a surround sound system to go with these.

I am also going to get SKY HD To go with the set up.

My requirements are that it is preferably small, wireless and has no DVD player but at least 4 inputs for Sky/DVD Player/XBOX360/Karaoke DVD player.

I want it good quality but doesnt have to be too loud as only a fairly small room (16'x12').

I am totally lost surfing online and cant get to store - can anyone help with suggestions.

Preferably under 300 quid - am I asking the impossible. Wirelss is preferable but not essential and the smaller the speakers the better - please help.
