What surrounds and protects London and which way do they (it ) face?

  1. Do you mean the old London wall?

    If so it only ever pretected the old roman bit (the "square mile"), not the whole city... there's not much of that left after all these years.

    The only other thing that surrounds London is the M25 ring road / motorway

London had a city wall, first built in Roman times and repaired and rebuilt during the Medieval period.  It had a series of gates, most of which were only demolished in the 18th century.  Portions of the city wall survive and can be seen next to Tower Hill tube station, within the Tower of London, and in the area along London Wall, Fore Street and Noble Street, not far from Moorgate tube station.

  3. Someone else who does not understand that the UK is not a giant theme park.

  4. Don't know what your asking Tish - the only thing that surrounds London is the M25 Motorway - and that does nothing at all to protect it. London has no protection from anything.
