What suvs and cars are short people friendly?

I am a 4'11 girl with a long torso and short legs...i'm having trouble learning to drive because of it. And please dont say the chevy malibu, b/c thats what i'm learning in and i'm all up on the steering wheel, sitting on 2 pillows, seat all the way up, seat all the way raised up. I dont want a small car either, so dont suggest those beetles and mini coopers.

i would recommend a WV golf. (i have the 1991 model it's a bit old but i love it)

What have you got against Mini Coopers?  Sounds like you've got some irrational issues there.

Try a Ford 500 or Taurus. You can get  seats that adjust up, not just forward, and the pedals that are adjustable. My wife is short , not quite as short as you, and she loves our Ford 500. It sit higher too so she sees out better. The adjustable pedals get her away from the steering wheel and it's airbag! And we really like the way the car rides and handles.
