What swimming excersises are good for a stress fracture in the L5 area?

been living with the worst fracture i could ever imagine for the past 6 months and although it is much better, it ain't "there" yet.I'm hitting up the pool today to do some excercises.which would be best to do?maybe even doin controlled kicks while holding onto the wall?or backstroke?

  1. walking forward and backward hold your leg out in front for few seconds then other leg repeat several times walk sidewards left then right hold leg to one side then the other holding up for few seconds repeat and increase each day in small amounts
