I know all women are different but this way I can get lots of different answers. Like did you lose your mucous plug? when? Did you have alot of strong braxton hicks? vaginal pain? Please help any answers would be awesome!

  1. I had painful braxton hicks which were not as bad as contractions, but I went to the hospital and they said I was in pre-labor, but my BP was high so they kept me there and they thought I'd go into labor that whole weekend & they wouldn't let me eat a darn thing. But I had so much pressure like the baby was breaking through my cervix, kinda needleprick pain down there. I had a good bm a few hours before labor. The dr thought the pain from pre-labor contractions were just so painful it was making my blood pressure spike really bad so I got Vicodin right before bed but then my water broke and they can't just give you something else, or you'll OD. So... all I had to deal with pain was a flippin vicodin. But as long as you know the breathing exercises it isn't so bad.

  2. I was 36.3 weeks and I had an ultrasound due to them thinking I had pre-eclampsia.  Then two days later I lost a bit of the plug.  The next day I saw my midwife and she said that lots of women lose the plug weeks before.  Two days later, I woke up thinking I was constipated.  I was also a little tired because we were at the hospital the night before because I had a really bad headache.  They checked the baby and nothing.  So anyway, I spent the entire day feeling constipated.  I took a nap in the afternoon and we forgot we had to tour the hospital.  So we had the tour and went home.  I started getting cramps every few minutes.  It didn't hurt was just uncomfortable.  The hospital said to come in.  I wasn't about to leave until I had a shower and I didn't think anything of it.  I used the toilet and had a bloody show.  Then I got into the shower and was about to towel off when my water broke.  Thankfully in the shower.  Then we arrived at the hospital and more water came out.  4 hours later my son was born.

Edit: I just read what someone else said about only having vicodin and I had to go through the entire with with just oxygen/gas.  Poor us. :D

  3. I lost my mucous plug at 40 weeks and 3 days, I also had a tight feeling where he was moving into the birth canal. In addition I had some diarreah and Insomnia. I went into labor 15 hours later. I tried walking and running and everything to try to start my labor and I only wasted my breath, nothing worked for me, he came when he was ready!

  4. I'm in the same boat as you and I have asked this question like 600 times and no one gives me a good answer!!! I'm interested to see what they tell you!! Good Luck

  5. I had a huge energy spurt

  6. at 40+3, i had a membrane sweep, i had some cramps, lost my plug and bled a little.

at 40+6, i had another sweep, same stuff - blood and cramps

the rest of that day after the sweep i had diahorhea. i ate dinner that night, and the rest of the night had awful indigestion that just wouldnt shift. i went to bed at 10pm. woke at midnight in awful pain that id never felt before. i called the hospital they said i was in labour and told me when to go in. from then till 8am when my water broke - i was vomitting, my dinner lay in my stomach and i was bringing it up.

i delivered my daughter 23hrs labour via emergency section.

  7. my first sign of labor was abdominal cramping like am going to have my period (first kid). my second one is that my water broke right after the doctor check me down there( that was my appt.).

  8. Hi I agree with your first answer I am 39 weeks pregnant and I thought I would of gone before now, and like everyone keeps telling me, you will know when it happens but that is no help.

I asked if anyone felt differently before they went into labour and all was told was that you get no warning it just happens and I will know when it does.

The only thing I was told that in the last few months you get back the symtoms you have at the start of pregnancy, well I havent, the only thing I have got is my appetie back and heartburn lol, so god knows when he will come.

My baby isnt engaged yet either , and I have been getting sharp pains down below when I am walking but still no signs. Im not getting too impatient but would like to go into labour on my own and sooner than later.

  9. I was leaking amniotic fluid and had back pain-that's about it. I went into labor unexpectedly as I was only 36 weeks along. I didn't even lose my plug until I was at the hospital.

We have the same due date btw :).

  10. I felt a lot of pressure below from the baby dropping into the birth canal.  If you want to bring it on faster try going for a bicycle ride - it worked for me.

  11. I had none. My water broke at 38 weeks and I had no symptoms (no braxton hicks, no contractions, no mucus plug loss, no pain, no nausea, nothing!).  From what i understand, it's pretty rare for that to happen, but it can happen!  I was fully expecting to be a week late.
