What symptoms to look for if my son is not tolorating his new formula...?

ok heres the short version, sons been on every formula manufactured by enfamil... alll give problems doc says he has milk allergies and has acid reflex. now hes on nutramigen, but he seems alot more fussy while hes on this new formula he was just switched to that new formula from soy milk.. now someone mentioned enfamil ar?

what should be better for my son that has acid reflex? and supposily milk allergies?

what are the side effects of not tollerating nutramien?

he seems to be better with vomiting on nutramigen BUT hes a lot more fussy and really really gassy i mean he farts load enought for ppl across the room to hear it... hes 5 months old.

  1. If he's stopped vomiting, that's good. He's probably really constipated because of the iron in the formula, my daughter got real constipated on her formula. Try using glycerin suppositories, you can get them at any pharmacy. Also, ask the doctor what he (or she) thinks. Good luck.


  2. My friends baby was like that, turns out she was lactose tolerant. try a lactose free, i think enfamil has the best kind

    her baby was extremely gassy, i guess colic would be the right word. Also she threw up alot and had really bad diarreah that went everywhere

  3. depending on how long he has been on the nutramigen his body still may be adjusting to the formula switch. if he is farting thats a good thing that they are coming out. if he screams while or after thats a sign it may be not tollerating also if he is vomiting like more than the average spit up or even a change severly in his bowel movements. good luck
