First off - Awesome. There are millions of new homes built every year, and its great to see someone finally building green.  Solar power is great, and very reliable if you live in the right area.

They have everything from solar garden lights to full-home systems.  I have personally worked with this company before, and they are really great people.

No matter what kind of system you choose, just know that you will pay for it like crazy, but you will make it back - not only in money, but also the warm-fuzzy feeling you get when you help save the world! :)

Go to www.backwoodssolar.com they will answer any questions you have. They have been using solar and wind for years and use all the products they sell. You can call and talk to them directly. They were a great help to us. Solar is great!! Also check out bpsolar their prices are better. You can get huge rebates on your fed. and some states income tax for putting in solar. Read Home Power magazine and Mother Earth News they have a lot of great info. We've been on solar for 6 years and it's great. NO BILLS!!!  We use propane for our hot water and cook stove it cost about $50. every 3-4 months. We have a wood stove for heat but would like to get a corn or pellet stove. The best I can tell you is READ as much as you can.
