What t.v should i get out of these two? Whats the best one overall? Im using the tv for gaming and movies?

I have a Samsung LCD widescreen HDTV and it's awesome. I highly recomment it.

From the two you've shown us - the Phillips has a higher contrast ratio (26000:1 Phillips vs. 8000:1 Samsung) but has a lower response time (8ms Phillips vs. 6ms Samsung) and games work better with better response times. Other than that, they're very similar.

I would say samsung but the models that walmart carries generally use older technology than those found at best buy but go look at everything in person before making a purchase based on what the specs say online which can be scewed in many ways to look better.
