  1. If your shopping here, plan on paying PST and GST on all (most) merchandise.

  2. Check this web site http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tax/individuals... it might help

  3. my16paws has made a good start to the list, but there is also:

    Property tax

    Land transfer tax

    Capital gains tax

    Import/export duties

    Water and sewer tax

    Probate tax

    School Tax

Tenant's Tax (some places in Québec)

    And let's call a tax a tax:

    Motor vehicle registration fees

    Driver's license fees

Environmental levies (bottles, tires, oil etc.)

    Annual school fees

    High School exam fees

Garbage bag sticker fees (if you live in a region that charges a per bag fee for curb side pickup)

And if the Liberal's have anything to do with it, there'll also be a Carbon Tax, although there's already one in British Columbia.

  4. To Start with Deductions from Pay

    Canada Federal Income Taxes

    Province Income Taxes

The next three are not really taxes, but deductions from you pay nevertheless

    Employment Insurance (EI)

    QPIP

    CPP/QPP

    After that there is

    GST Good and Services Taxes

PST Province Sales Taxes (Excluding Alberta)

There are also numerous "hidden" taxes on alot of products you purchase. Sin taxes on Cigarettes, Wine, Beer, and Achol.  Exsice and Provincial taxes included in the price per liter of gas before GST & QST.  Telecommunication fees on Cell and Phone bills

    I'm sure I've missed a few, but it's a good start.
