What team do you think is better? 1992 Dream Team or 2008 Redeem Team?

Say they played each other, what do you think would be the score?

I think the Dream Team would win but they wouldn't blow these guys out! I even think this years team could upset them if they were able to play!

And I know People are gonna say 92 won by an average of 50 points and blah blah blah

But look at the competition they played against? yeah there was none!

The world is getting bettter every year, and these guys are still killing teams! I'm one of those guys who thinks the players from the past are overrated, because now days players are bigger, faster, and stronger!

Wilt's 100 point record should be erased too! Look at the competition back then! Do you really think he could score 100 points against a young Shaq? Put him in todays game and he would be embarassed!

The Dream Team 1992 was the best NBA team put together for anything. The 2008 Redeem Team is filled with a bunch of scorers (Kobe, Lebron, Chris Paul, Dwight) and not as much role players like Magic, Bird, and Wilt. I have a feeling that the Redeem Team will get wiped by either Greece or Argentina (maybe Spain also).

dream team. by 20-30 points. even though there was no competition, the dream teams players were all from the 50 greatest of all time. jordan, bird, magic, olajuwon, barkley, pippen, mullin, drexler, etc...are you kidding me? this team would beat any team in the world by more than 30, even their fellow americans =p

A lot of you guys never seen MJ, Magic, Robinson, Bird, Stockton, and Pippen play in their prime. It was amazing.

The Dream team would win because they have a lot of "heart" and play unselfish basketball ( you have to watch the Dream Team in action )...and one thing you guys underestimate is players like MJ, Magic, Bird, Barkely, Pippen, Stockton, and Malone. They know how to win. These guys are players who hat too lose, and would easily beat the 2008 mentally as well.

2008 Redeem Team is far better.  Sorry, but the NBA athletes today are far more skilled than they were 15 years ago.  That's just a fact.

Besides, this team has Kobe.  Enough said.

I definitely think the Dream Team would beat the Redeem Team. In my opinion, most teams and players from back in the day are better than the players now. Now in the NBA, it's all about looking fancy and doing those "cool" passes and shots. Back in the day it was pretty simple, you pass it to a teammate and they either shoot or pass. They were more about the fundamentals. So yeah, I agree...Dream Team.

I don't know much about Wilt though. I haven't been around that long (only 14 years) so sadly I wasn't around to experience basketball back then.

still the 1992 dream team...

they have more class and they know their roles... they're mature enough to provide substance over fancy...

and another thing... if your opponents are no match, would you bother showing your full abilities? tell me...

yes i know... today's generation is bigger, faster, stronger... but does that mean they can play better basketball

you should even admire the past players from that standpoint because despite their lesser physical abilities, they can still dominate... do you think that players today will even think of playing basketball and reaching their peak physical abilities if weren't for their rolemodels... who were as yu saying... of less physical abilities than today's players

don't you think if the 1992 dream team in their youth and prime adjust to today's game?

and for wilt... yeah i think so too... he wouldn't score more than 20 against shaq

Redeem Team would beat the Dream Team pretty easily.  In the last 10 years or so the competition to get into the NBA has become even more increasingly difficult with the advent of international players.  This means that the skill level of NBA players has become increasingly better.

No disrespect to the Dream Team.  They were fun to watch but I think they would get SMOKED by the international competition if they played today.
