  1. The NL east is just horrible.  The commish will have to do something about spicing that division up, not sure what he will do, but it will be something.  Particularly Arizona.  They beat the Cubs last year in the playoffs and now they are what?2, 3 games below .500?  what happened?  kind of embarrassing to cubs fans if you ask me.

  2. Absolutely the San DIego Padres. They were a game from going to the playoffs last year and are now around 25 games under .500!! They are pretty close to being mathematically eliminated from the Playoffs right now!!

  3. Tampa Bay .... come on the whipping boy doing the whipping that ain't right!

  4. The Clevealnd Indians. I picked them to win the World Series but man they have disapointed

  5. NL West and the Mariners.

  6. tigers and nl west

  7. The Cleavland Indians have been the most disappointing team in baseball this year. After beating the Yankees in the ALDS last year (even though it took an act of G-d to unnerve Joba), and nearly beating the Red Sox in the ALCS, people thought that they would do better this year, with Carmona and C.C. and Siezmore. The Mariners are disappointing to.

  8. I would have to say the Padres, Dodgers, Rockies, well i guess all of the NL West. Heck & I am an American League Fan! Guess in the AL i would have to say the A's or Ranger's

  9. Seattle Mariners

  10. Yeah, I have to agree with the Tigers being the biggest disappointment..  There was a ton of hype about their talent and how they were going to be a powerhouse team but they stink.  It's true they have all the talent, but just like the Cincinnati Reds last season, they didn't execute when it really matters.  This is coming from a Cincinnati Reds fan who knows what disappointment is all about in the past few years.

  11. Im from the desert man, well two hours away in a mountain town but the D'Backs by far, best team for a while, now in and out of first with a sub five hundred record, with arms like haren and webb? thats disappointment at its best

  12. The tigers obviously do i mean come on they have the the highest salary cap in the Majors and i would say the best talent and not a good record to show for it. They need to step it up or i suspect they will not make the playoffs. And the trade for renteria was a piece of c**p because he is an old washed out bum and they traded the young prospect for him. They need to make some better decisions and play some better baseball.

  13. I will go with the team that wound up on the good end of that deal you mentioned. My Atlanta Braves (by no fault of Jurrjens) are the most disappointing team in my opinion. We had such a good team going into it.

    Starting:

    1B - Mark Teixeira

    2B - Kelly Johnson

    3B - Chipper Jones

    SS - Yunel Escobar

    C - Brian McCann

    LF - Matt Diaz

    CF - Mark Kotsay

    RF - Jeff Francoeur

    Key Bench Players:

    OF - Gregor Blanco

    Util IF - Martin Prado

    Util - Omar Infante

    SP (initial rotation):

    Tim Hudson

    John Smoltz

    Tom Glavine

    Mike Hampton

    Jair Jurrjens

    Key Bullpen Pitchers:

    Rafael Soriano (Closer)

    Peter Moylan (Set-Up)

    Jeff Bennett (Long Reliever/Spot Starter)

    Manny Acosta (Set-Up/Late Inning Reliever)

Mike Gonzalez (Possible Closer when he returned...started on DL)

What happens from there? Here are the people we've had injured this year:

    Mike Gonzalez

Rafael Soriano (most of the year)

    Jeff Bennett

    Manny Acosta

    Peter Moylan (out for season)

John Smoltz (out for season, possibly career)

Tom Glavine (possibly out for season, but may be able to come back)

Mike Hampton (we all knew that was coming though)

    Chuck James (Hampton's replacement)

    Matt Diaz

    Mark Kotsay

Chipper Jones (was out for 9 games in a row, so not too bad, but he just got hurt again)

Yunel Escobar (has been hurt a lot recently)

    Omar Infante

    Martin Prado

Jair Jurrjens (only missed one start thankfully)

Tim Hudson (just got hurt...hopefully not too serious)

Plus Francoeur has seemingly forgotten how to have fun in the game, and so he isn't doing well at all. All in all, we had an excellent team, but for many different reasons (injuries included) we have not done well. This is the worst season I've ever witnessed. It's just been such a downer.

  14. The Indians...1 win away from the world series a year ago and now....

Also the Rockies...in the WS a year ago and now....

  15. The Mariners came into this season with a $117 million payroll. They had most of their veterans players returning and they even added some pitching. They were supposed to be solid contenders, some people even picked them as favorites to win the AL West.

Now they are just trying to win enough games so they aren't branded as having the worst record in baseball.

  16. I say the Rockies from the NL and Tigers from the AL.

  17. Seriously, it's not the Tigers. They are coming back. The answer is the Seattle Mariners. You've think that last year sparked something in them. Well, it was just temporarily. Miguel Bautista, Jarrod Washburn, Carlos Silva, and the whole Mariners offence (excluding Felix Hernandez and including Ichiro Suzuki) has been nothing but trash.

  18. I'm a Braves fan and Jurjeans has been are most consitent pitcher all year. He really is one of our aces. I liked the trade,  for obvious reasons, but last year renteria was one of the best hitters on our team.  I wish the trade would have worked out for both teams, cause I picked the tigers to go all the way the way to the World Series this year... If it makes you feel any better there was a lot of expectation this year in Atlanta, and we have fallen short big time...

  19. yea the tigers - when i looked at their opening day roster i was wondering how they could lose one game never mind be at .500 (or around im not sure their record but i no its around 500) at this point

  20. definitely detroit

with hitters ordonez, cabrera, granderson, guillen, polanco and pitchers verlander and willis, and a bllpen with rodney and zumaya, what went wrong?

  21. Although the Tigers have certainly been a disappointment, they have gotten back into the race. The Padres are not my pick either, since their offense was never going to be great. I would honestly have to go with Colorado. I guess we all knew that last years run may've been a fluke, but they haven't been anything like that team this year. Lucky for them, they do play in the NL west, though, they still may be considered a favorite to win that division.

  22. I'm a Tigers fan, I agree with you. Cabrera finally is hitting, it usually happens when a player is traded to the other league. I disagreed with trading Jurrjens. Notice Ramon Santiago is back playing ss. What a joke Dombrowski has done here.

I live in Colorado Springs now, the Rockies have really bombed this year.

The San Diego Padres as well.

  23. I feel Detroit is a disappointment too. They have a strong lineup with solid hitters. The pitching isn't great, but it's getting there. Still though, be happy they're not like Seattle and Cleveland.
