There are a lot of sub 500 teams right now with some pretty young potential stars. Any thoughts on the teams to watch for?

  1. tampa bay rays

    detroit tigers

  2. if they get decent pitching, Texas is going to be one scary team. i am willing t bet that in 2010, the Rangers will claim the west and make a decent run at the WS title.

  3. The cubs

the only person they could lose is Edmonds due to retiring

  4. The Brewers look pretty stacked if they can afford their pitching (Sabathia, and Sheets will be Free Agents)but they have their offensive nucleus signed for awhile

The Rays have it all and in 2 years they should be clickin on all cylinders

    So the Rays

  5. cubbies they will this year and da next and da next and da next and for da rest of eternity

  6. The cubs.  No one is going to retire, they are already a great team, and have some great players in AAA.  With the addition of Jim Edmonds in center field, and the rookie sensation Geovanny Soto, an all-star, and the fire power in Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, Kosuke Fukudome, and the all-mighty Alfonso Soriano leading off, the cubs will be the best team if they all stay healthy.  The pitching staff looks great, with Zambrano, Dempster, Lilly, and Harden.  3 of the 4 have 10+ wins already this season and Harden has a lot of potential.

  7. brewers

  8. The angels because they have enough money to sign top free agents and they have one of the top farm systems.

  9. oakland

those trades don't make sense now but in the future they will

  10. Without a doubt the Cubs. 7 All-Stars this year and it could have been more. They have the best rotation in baseball and if Wood can come back to how he pitched before the best bullpen as well. By 2010 they'll be going for the 3-peat.

  11. LOS ANGELES ANGELS, LOS ANGELES LAKERS, LOS ANGELES GALAXY, LOS ANGELES DODGERS, LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS, LOS ANGELES KINGS, ANAHEIM DUCKS, OAKLAND RAIDERS, ANY CALIFORNIA TEAM YOU CAN THINK OF! CALIFORNIA OWN ALL YOU LIL BOY COUNTRIES. LA IS THE MOTHER OF U.S.A. AND WE KEEP ARE HEADS HIGH WHILE YOU LIKE OUR BA**S. =)

  12. It wont be one of the teams in the 2009 world series   lol

  13. Cleveland should be, provided they fail in their yearly quest to find a way to s***w up.

  14. if the A'S dont trade away any of there pitching anymore the good as gold for 2011. 2010 is a little too soon

  15. White Sox.

PS Yes I said white...not red

  16. From the NL, the Cubs should be a contender in 2010. They'll be a strong veteran club by then and will need only to find a CFer and 5th starter to replace Marquis.

The Reds will also be a good club. They have great young talent and could contend for awhile.

In the AL, Tampa Bay is loaded with young talent and will rule the East for years and Kanas City could surprise some Central teams as their youngsters come together.

  17. The Rays will be awfully good in the AL, but Boston and/or New York could buy emerging superstars.

I like the Cardinals in the NL.  Pujols will still be around as well as wainwright and Carpenter.  If Colby Rasmus is anything like the experts say, he could be anchoring a good OF with Ludwick and Ankiel.  They will need help in the pen and middle infield though.

  18. The Tampa Bay Rays. I have been watching them for about 6 years and I knew one day they were gonna go somewhere. As soon as I looked up the players in their farm system I knew they would be a good future team. After they get 2 years of playoff experience I think in 2010 you shouldn't count them out as the champs

  19. texas

    florida

    tampa bay

but alot can happen in two years

  20. I think the Rays have good chance because pitching staff is young. They have guys like Evan Longoria and Carl Crawford.  The Marlins as much as i dont want to say it becuase im a Mets fan will have a good chance.  Its basically any team that has alot of young guys.  So Marlins, Rays, Cubs, and maybe Texas.

  21. The reds.  they r really young they have dunn who is leading the n.l. in homeruns.  They have a good rotation and their closers have one of the lowest era's in the nl. they also have a good rookie outfielder jay bruce.

  22. giants

  23. The 26 times World Champions

    The New York Yankees

  24. The Rangers have a great team right now and they have the 4th ranked minor league program.

They are one or 2 ACEs away to being a huge contender.

Possibly Sheets at the end of the year?
