I think the old chook is right,however, in recent times Pardon was trained by Ken Sweeney. It would be a rising 12yr old now. Its sire was Gloaming Karou and it's dam was Placable.

It only won 1 race, a maiden at Corowa in it's 10 starts career.

He won the presidents cup in Menindee but I cant find what year it was in 1800's , he was mentioned in the poem The Man from snowy River
