PLEASE HELP! I'm doing a presentation on climate next friday, and I am doing it in front of some people I love, so I need to make it good!

  1. Computer models. Basically, they study the climate and estimate the different factors that effect the climate and try to the best of their knowledge to assign a value to each factor under a given condition. Then they enter certain expected conditions and run simulations and the computers give results based on the estimated values. It's mostly just an educated guess and a lot of estimates and there is still much to learn.

There is also satellite measurements of many conditions in the atmosphere, oceans and land. Weather balloons. Ocean buoys and more.

  2. Things can be earth friendly,

but they wont change a thing.

    its scientifically proven.

just let me explain a little..

    1. Who says that this is the right temperature for the earth?

maybe its higher, maybe its lower.

    WE DONT KNOW THIS.

    Maybe one organism will die,

but another may reproduce into a new organism.

God has a plan, and that plan is going to happen,

    so why worry?

    2. Ethanol does DAMAGE to the economy.

All it does is use up all the corn so that families may not be able to afford to eat it.

My family hasnt eaten corn in about 2 years.

Global warming is making us all CRAZY.

    3. All scientists say the only 2% of 'Global Warming' is caused by humans and animals.

and half of that is just by us breathing in and out.

So if we would kill every single organism on the earth,

Global Warming STILL wouldnt be solved.

PEOPLE, WHY ARE WE WASTING OUR PRECIOUS TIME ON EARTH TRYING TO SOLVE THE UNSOLVABLE?

  3. i dont know anything specifically developed for this, but some of the newer things used are;

satellite measurements of temp. and sea level

    huge complex computer models

also; better ways of analysing ice core, pollen, pine cone, tree ring etc data to estimate previous conditions to get a better idea of long term variations.

  4. It's all a load of rubbish... it's just the governments wanting to tax us to get more money out of us!

Yes global warming is happening but it's part of what happens on earth every few hundred years... we're lucky to but part of this cycle... we're missing out on the next cold snap!

    Ignore all the hype!!

  5. Nothing, all those predictions people made never came true anyways.
