I am living in Texas. It's really HOT these days. I will be out of the town for two weeks straight. So just wondering if it's a good idea to shut the AC completely off? I usually leave it at 85 when I am not home. I heard if the temperature is above 90, it would be bad for furniture. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  1. i think about 78-80 is a good temperature range because it's not that hard to cool down when you return home.

  2. if you can afford it....leave the A/C on...

a good temperature setting if your not gonna be there would be about 75 degrees.

  3. When I used to live in a hot climate, we left it at 80 degrees.

Bugs LOVE 90 degrees. It's their perfect temperature. Unless your home is completely bug-free, you might end up coming home to a house teeming with (insert random insect here).
