What temperature do you set your air conditioning for your house to?

Well, we have a little room a/c.  We set it to 68 at night, but the room stays at about 73, according to a separate thermometer.

78 Fahrenheit.   In summer when its 100+ degrees here, even 78 seems very cool.

in winter I leave it at 70-71.

I set my AC to 76 in the summer, and in the winter my heat is set to 69.

You should set your themostat on auto and your temperature on 72 and leave it along, do not turn your ac on and off because it takes longer to cool your house down in which it will cause the unit to work harder each time you turn it on.  So leave it on the above setting.
