Hi, I'm baking a betty crocker cake from box mix...it's an angel food cake and I want to bake it in a round and thick pan, so I figured to use my corningware dishes. I'm wondering if I need to change the temperature/cooking time? so i'm baking about half the box in two dishes, one about 7 inches across and the other near 5 and a half inches across and both one and a half inches deep....yeah i know this might be confusing! but thanks for all your help :D

  1. Usually you reduce the heat for glass pans.  Reduce by about 25 degrees.  Your cake will not take as long to bake in the shallower pans.  Check at about 20 minutes.  If you need longer do it by 2-3 minutes.

  2. Just follow the box instructions.  All cookware and ovens cook differently, so you need to start watching the cake early.  It won't likely burn unless you leave it in too long.

  3. 350-375 degree oven
