  1. The temp difference at the air handler should be around 16-20 colder than the room temp. Room 80 and vent temp 62, the reason I tell you at the air handler is because the duct work in the attic can loose cooling due to a attic that is too hot. Lower TD like 12 degrees could mean low on gas and higher TD like 25 degrees mean air flow problems like a dirty coil. Dirty coils are a big problem and the TD will tell you that with a quick temp. check.


  2. It should always be 15-20 degrees colder than the air that enters the filter.It will vary with the load.

  3. about 15 to 17 degrees colder than the air going into the return air vent. measure at vent nearest furnace a/c unit
