What temperature should be coming out of an a/c vent?

The temp difference at the air handler should be around 16-20 colder than the room temp. Room 80 and vent temp 62, the reason I tell you at the air handler is because the duct work in the attic can loose cooling due to a attic that is too hot. Lower TD like 12 degrees could mean low on gas and higher TD like 25 degrees mean air flow problems like a dirty coil. Dirty coils are a big problem and the TD will tell you that with a quick temp. check.

It should always be 15-20 degrees colder than the air that enters the filter.It will vary with the load.
