What tests are in the ks3 sats?

all i know is that there are maths english and science but i would like to know if there are any more and if so what they are .

if someon could tell me that would be great !

  1. just english, maths and science.

    you may be confused because in previous years they tried to introduce ict sats but they don't exist anymore :)

    All pupils in key stage 3 will study

    English

    Mathematics

    Science

    Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

    Design Technology

    History

    Geography

    Modern Foreign Language

    Art and Design

    Music

    Physical Education

    Citizenship

    s*x Education

    Careers Education

    Religious Education

    At the end of this stage, pupils aged 14 - in Year 9 - are tested as part of the national programme of National Curriculum Tests, colloquially known as SATs. These tests cover English, Mathematics and Science. The tests are externally marked, with results for each school being published in performance tables.

    -Reading/compehensive

    -Short writing piece

    -Small writing piece

    Science

    -Paper1

    -Paper2

    Thats all they do :) Each section has a different time limit then all the scores are added together and you get a level for each subject.

    Well for Mathematics there is:

    -a calculator paper 1hr

    -a non-calculator paper 1hr

    -mental maths 15 mins

    English:

    Comprehension

    Long writing

    Short Writing

    Shakespeare Question

    Science

    Paper 1 1hr

    Paper 2 1hr
