  1. Take the SAT's and ACT's...more and more colleges are accepting ACT's solely because they believe its a better test..

    take both of these tests  2 or 3 times....the person above me said not to, but you should, it will show colleges your commited to doing well.


  2. Take the SATs.

    Taking the ACTs is also not a bad idea.

    SAT subject tests are tests specific to a subject.

    There are ones in math, science, language, social studies, etc.

    Take these only if you plan on applying to high caliber universities and colleges. Most state schools don't require them but a lot of school require a minimum of three subject test scores to be sent in along with your standard SAT. The ACT is usually not a required test but some schools make look at the score instead of your SAT score especially if it is higher. You should start taking these tests as soon as possible, especially if you're going to be a junior. Also, check the requirements for the schools you want to apply to just so you're not taking exams that are not necessary.

    P.S. Try not to take any of these exams more than two or three times. Sometimes schools look badly upon this.
