Okay so I bought an 8ogb ipod classic from circuit city in december. It started to mess up so i took it back in the months period time and got anothe one then I bought a 50$ warranty. I'm thinking it last the 2 years it said it would but no once u send in the messed up ipod once throgh the mail using the warranty thats it no sending it back again and u have to purchase a whole nother 50$ warranty. To make it worst I used a coupon to get 40$ off when I bought the d**n thing so there gonig to most like send me a 209$ gift card. I was so ***** pissed when I found this out and will never by another warranty from them again. Best Buy's warrany system is way better than circuit. Anybody know what I could do?

  1. I have no advice for you on what to do, but I do agree Circuit City is a bad company to do business with, I don't know about other states but over here the company rarely has anyone in it and was in risk of going out of business a few years ago.

  2. There warranty system for iPods is different then other merchandise they have.  I also believe the when you send in your iPod if it is broken they do not fix it or give you a brand new one.  Instead they give you a refurbished one that looks identical to the one you had.  So if your had a scratch on the screen the one you get will also have a scratch on the screen.

That is pretty wierd that you have to buy a new warranty every time.  That just shows how CC is not doing well and is trying to save money any way they can.

    Good Luck!!!

  3. Make a complaint with the Attorney general of your state, they will help you resolve the problem with Circuit City.

I stopped shopping Circuit City years ago when they refused to send me rebates on a couple computers I had bought there. They should rename it Rip-off City.
