So i know you really have to go out and ride each kind of bike and find the one which fits you perfectly. Before i go doing that kind of research i would just like to ask you guys some questions.

I am 5 foot 10 inches have a stand over height of about 30.5 inches. If anyone knows good overall dimensions for me or relatively my height and stand over, could you tell me what dimensions your bike is.

Thank you so much for all the help!

  1. there is more to fit than height and standover. that'll give you the height of the bike and seat. but it doesn't tell you whether to move the seat forward or back. your torso and arm measurements will determine length of top tube and stem. but keep in mind the stem length can affect the bike's handling. the breadth of your chest will determine how wide your bars should be. your pelvic measurement will determine the proper saddle. then you get into cleat positioning and a plethora of other minutia..

  2. 16" to 17" would be a good place to start.

  3. Go to a specialty bike shop, not a big box that sells bikes and get measured either by the fit kit, serotta fit station, body scan, or anything similar.  Once that is done, tell the salesperson where/what do yo want to ride AND your budget.  If he/she is any good, they will point you in the right direction.
