  1. There is a requirement that one must be able to form a proper sentence. jk!

Yes, you MUST be married and it costs between $50-$100K. That does not include the years of therapy many children benefit from to process the grief of adoption loss.

  2. I just thought you'd be interested in knowing that the question that you asked a few weeks ago about those who celebrate the winter solstice was directly linked on yahoo news. I was reading the news tonight and clicked a link to what I thought was a story about the topic... and up comes your question. Anyhow, i'd think it was neat if tens of thousands of people were seeing a question of mine... ;)

  3. they like u to be at leat 21  and have beenmarried for 3 yrs is what i heard

  4. You have to be 21 years old.

It's usually costs at minimum $10,000.

Also, China passed a law that says you HAVE to be married. However, other places would prefere if you were married also.

    Good Luck. =)

  5. A friend of mine looked into adoption and she was told they prefer you to be at least 21 years of age, and yes they prefer you to be married. But it might be different with different agency's...

  6. In the UK you have to be 21 years old to adopt.  You don't need to married but need to have been living as man and wife for at least two years, although most social workers seem to prefer a minimum of three years living together.

In the UK it costs nothing to adopt.  The whole process is free except for a £140 approx fee to the court for the adoption papers.

  7. First thing to do is go to your library and read books on adoptions, this will prepare you to ask the questions and know about problems you need to know about. There are many ways to adopt a baby, some good, others could cause you problems and heart aches if you don't know what to do and look for.

After you read about the different types and ways, you will be able to get your answer to what age you have to be.

Take sometime to talk with some single mothers that have one or more children on what it takes to support the family needs.

  8. I recommend contacting a local reputable adoption agency.  The reason that I suggest this rather than giving you "answers" to your questions is that it varies by state and even by agency.  A state may have a certain age requirement, but an agency may have their own requirements above & beyond the state.  Also, if you are adopting internationally, the country that you are adopting from may have their own regulations.

    Good luck to you.

  9. Unless you are a blood relative, you usually can't adopt until you are 21.  You don't have to be married in most states.  Costs vary a lot - $10,000 is not uncommon unless you are choosing a less adoptable baby or one with health problems.
