I was trying to jack up my car, but I had the jack in the wrong place.. As a result I jacked thru the interior of my car... Now there is a hole that is about 1.5 in x 4 in long in the of my car..

The plastic that I poked thru is still there but I'm sure it needs more than super glue to hold... I need something that is waterproof because it rained a lil and I could feel some moisture thru the carpet.

  1. you could purchase fiber repair kit for under 20 dollars it it comes with  resin and hardener and also fiberglass clothe it a quick fix yet its strong to meet the standards for  body panel thickness and strength..

  2. make sure you can get to the hole, then pop rivet a piece of metal over the hole and use some tar under the patch. works everytime.

  3. Clean the area very well. Get water proof caulk and flatten a soda can [ with a hammer very flat]  Pull back the carpet caulk the can to the floor. Put the carpet back. Done.

  4. Go to the automotive parts store and get a fiberglass repair kit. They cost under $20 US and will do the job. Remember to get gloves and follow the directions. And yes it is waterproof

  5. Are you sure its plastic most cars have an under coating on top of metal if this is the case use a hammer bend back to were it should be scrape off the under coat then fined some one with a wire welder and close. If its plastic find some tin get a pop rivet gun put some good caulking between the tin and the car drill a hole through, and use the pop rivets. then with eather one put a mastic on the in side, that will dry in to a hard serf-ice, put the carpet back down and it should do for the life of the car. The fix will make the different from a bad smelling car with windows that are always steamy  back to a nice car good luck.
