  2. Don't tell you a brand?  How is one supposed to suggest the best without telling a brand?  First of all how much do you want to spend?  Binos range in price from under $100 to over $2000.  Mostly only bird watchers buy the really expensive binoculars.  Do you wear glasses?  There are special binoculars made for people who wear glasses so they do not have to take their glasses off.

Generally speaking you will want either an 8 power or 10 power pair of binoculars. 8 power are somewhat more popular than 10 power because some people have difficulty holding 10 power steady.  The next consideration is the size of the objective lense.  40 mm is very popular.  These are full size binoculars.  Compact have about 20 mm objective lenses.  They are easy to pack and take up about 1/2 the space of full size.  30 mm fall in between.   If this is a one shot deal.  That is just for this one trip, I would suggest an inexpensive pair less than $200 and perhaps less than $100.

Now I am going to suggest a couple of pairs for you to consider.  Sorry but they all have a brand name.

This is a compact pair.  They are not suitable if you wear glasses however.

This is the pretty much the same binocular but in full size.  This pair is marginally suitable if you wear glasses.

And here it is in a mid sized pair.  Again not suitable if you wear glasses.  Note that the eye relief must be at least 17 mm to be suitable for wearing glasses.

They all also come in 10 power.  This site has many different brands.  You can choose any one from 8 to 10 power and be reasonably certain that it will do the job for you.

Here is another suitable pair.  Different brand.
