  1. i dont like to study, but when i do, i do it in small amounts, normally i will make notecards from the chapters in the book, important facts, or vocab words. Also take good notes in class, then go back through them, re read, highlight,  and make flash cards to help. Then take a nice long break, do something that uses energy. go play with your pets or tag with the neighbors. Come back, get water, not soda, and a healthy snack like nuts, and start going through the flashcards. take occasional breaks but dont talk to friends unless your able to set a time limit, i was never able to have aim up while studying. good luck and if you cant do it by yourself, you can always ask a smarter kid in the class to meet up at wendy's for food and a study session, its how i passed calculus and physics!

  2. There are obviously different study methods for different situations. If you are talking strictly about school exams then take good notes and study your butt off for the exam. If you are talking about SATs or any other standardized test, you need to study strategy as well as content. Good prep books (I wouldn't recommend online courses) such as kaplan will help you study and boost scores.

But for both...stay away from procrastinating and don't get too stressed out.

  3. For an exam?

You should look over your past exams/tests on that subject and make sure you know the answers to each question. If your teacher asked those questions on tests, they will probably ask similar ones on the exams. If you are given a textbook and need to study from the textbook, this method is very useful, its what i do: Read EACH page and write down the important points. Most textbooks have too much information you do not need to read. So read the pages you are supposed to do and write down notes on each. When you are done writing down notes on the pages, study from your notes, not the textbook.

  4. From my experience as somebody who doesnt work hard through the year and works hard at the end near the exams, about 70% of the learning happens when you start doing past papers. They show you what you need to know to pass the exam.
