  1. Wales is culture rich, although not many people seem to care or notice, just seeing it as a part of "England" which it ISN'T!

Wales is wet all year round but when it's hot TRUST-ME it IS hot,  if your coming here don't be suprised to find welsh signs, It's really interesting to read them as you go past them, Learning how t pronounce welsh can make it even more fun and impressive to your friends, and famliy!

    Try saying-

    Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogereithwyndrobwy...

Hope you have a good time, IF your not from Wales. as this is pointless.

    Hwyl Fawr a Diolch!

  2. Well-it's only as expensive as you want it to be. The museums are all free-check out St Fagan', the museum of Welsh life, which is a lovely day out (pack a picnic if good weather). If you want cheap accomodoation check out the Youth hostels. Buses can be dear but there are quite a few cycle paths (check out the welsh cycling network) a lot of which are off road.  If the Food & drink festival's on that's often a good place to try lots of expensive nibbles for free!.

There are also fab parks-Bute Park by the castle,  Vicotia Park (complete with paddling pool) & Roath park -the best with it's own  boating lake and amazing rose gardens (the scent can blow you away in June).

If you like charity shops there's a wealth of them  in Albany Rd, Roath. Town has all the usual chain stores/pubs so prices are probably comparable to other major cities. Anyway chill out& have fun..though of course it WILL rain at some point!

  3. It depends what you want.

In July, as the above mentioned, The Eisteddfod Genedlaethol is being held in Cardiff this year, it's a massive Welsh language festival, and if you want a taste of Welsh culture, you'll get it there! Great fun, with everybody (English and Welsh speakers) out in the pubs and bars, and enjoying the joys of Welsh culture.

Other than that, I'd schedule my trip around a Six-Nations Rugby match. There's no city on Earth like Cardiff on a Sporting matchday. If there's a match in Wembley, London, and you were in the middle of London, you wouldn't know about it. In Cardiff you deffinately know about it, because the magnificent Millenium Stadium is right in the middle.

Everybody in Cardiff's really friendly, and eating and drinking together. It's so colourful, it's amazing.

The Six Nations are usually around February/March, and held on week-ends. A week-end in Cardiff when there's a match there is unforgetable, even if you don't have a ticket.

  4. brillant time to visit Cardiff, July is the nicest month of the year. This is the festivful month for Cardiff and The National Esteddfodd of Wales is in Cardiff that month. Dry and Sunny month hardly any rain usually( be warned though this is in North West Europe) . Great Month to visit but it will be more expensive due to the summer holidays ect ect
