  1. One exercise that targets the stubborn stomach area is called The Bicycle.  To do The Bicycle, simply lay on the floor pressing your lower back to the ground. Your hands are beside your head. Bring your knees to an approximate 45-degree angle and slowly go through the motion of pedaling a bicycle. Get the flabolanch moving.  Cardio, cardio, cardio.  Whatever you do, don't, do not, did I say "don't"...use weights.  Weights increase muscle mass and so the size of you abs.  Try this simple but effective technique...get a broom or other long stick (four feet or so) put it on your shoulders and your wrists over the stick and twist your upper torso from side to side as you sit.  It is especially affective for a person who sits for long periods of time without having to use their hands.  You can do it while you watch the news or whatever TV programs you may watch.  Or whenever you have fifteen or twenty minutes to be still.  Or you can do it at five minute intervals a few times a day.  Yes, it really works!!

  3. Any type of cardio is good. Walking, running, aerobics...ect. You can't just do sit ups or anything because the muscle is under the fat, so while you may be defining your abs, unless you lose the fat, they won't show.
