What the difference between freestyle and freeride snowboards/snowboarding??

  1. freestyle

    -dedicated to tricks only (park)

    -twin tip (can go both ways equally well)

    -feet in the middle

    -usually softer to to tricks better  

    -softer boots usually to be able to tweak the board

    freeride

    -directional (designe for one way, can be used both ways)

    -floats well in the powder due to the setback stance (feet closer to tail)

    -made for off groomed trails but handels them great also

    -harder boots to be able to carve better and give better high speed stability

    -softer nose then tail usually to float better in powder


  2. freestyle = park/rails/boxes/jumps that stuff

    free ride = like all mountain board for a mix between everything (good at everything excellent at non basically)
