What the easiest way to turn a wall into a canvas, without doing any damage to the wall itself?

I was thinking of buying a 15x9 foot sheet of canvas and putting it up, but im not sure if that would be the best idea financially, or if i would be able to build a frame big enough inside of the room to stretch the canvas on.

Basically its a new apartment and i want to paint one of the walls, but without actually painting on the walls and i cant think of a good idea... Help?

Have you considered doing it as a triptic? Three 5'X9" canvases hung right together? It would solve all your hanging problems, and would be easy to move if you left the apartment.

Building a frame is probably your best bet. But you will need to secure it to the wall. However you do this you will have to have the attachment holes repaired when you move out.

Treat it like hanging a very large picture.
