Simply put: he lost sight of the strike zone and worse yet, lost the confidence to even attempt to find it again, which would explain the Tigers sending him down to Class A Lakeland to straighten him out. Here's one fan who hopes that they can fix him before "Steve Blass Disease" fully kicks in, á la Rick Ankiel.
