  1. The USA is no better than the Soviet Union under Stalin.Kidnapping, torture, murder, years of detention without trial, the only difference is in scale.Stalin did it to protect Communism,Bush & his gang do it to protect Democracy.World opinion of the USA has sunk to it's lowest level ever, thanks to Bush.

  2. Justice has always been hard to find in the US.  America is a continent and some of its countries have excellent justice systems like Canada - others, like the USA, are awful.

US courts have been turned into bizarre media events where the Judge and lawyers are the stars and the accused the villains.  If they're white and/or rich they're OK - if black and/or poor or mentally deficient they'll probably get the death penalty or as near as the law will allow.

Under the repression which the neo-cons opportunistically imposed after 9/11, some are even denied this.  People held in Guantanamo have been declared outside the law by the international outlaws in control of the United States.  These are the lucky ones though, as people are aware of their whereabouts.  Those subject to renditions, where people are kidnapped off the street around the world (including the US) and flown to third coutries to be tortured and worse, do not even have this rudimentary comfort.

It is no accident that the US (and Israel) do not to accept the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice or the International Criminal Court.  They know that their countries and representatives routinely commit hideous international crimes as policy.

  3. in america, there is no justice especially for muslims. bush is making muslims' lives around the world h**l. we dont approve of what happened on sep 11, and we dont approve of suicide bombings. so why are muslims around the world being punished?

  4. Did the people in the towers get a fair trial. How pathetic can we be to not try these lunatics. Thats military bis anyway. They shouldnt have to tell you anything, the average person only hears what 's on t.v.  The military knows the real truth and Will serve justice where its due.

  5. You need to restate yur issue.

    Say it's illegal.

    Go on, say it.

    Nooooooooooooooooooooo???????????

Because it isn't.  Because we have a huge hole in our security that people are trying to exploit.  Because thousands of Americans have died and more are dying every day.

Because innocent people get mixed up in bad situations and there is NO way to Quick-Fix it.

In a catastrophy, sometimes innocent people suffer (i.e. injured man loses a leg that could have been saved with surgery) because the doctors are trying to save someone elses life and have no time for him.

All that is needed to make the fiasco complete is to have some self-righteous, ignorant boob whine about the lack of "justice".

    Right on time.

  6. It is a reflection of the Bush administration and the Neo Conservative ideals it works with- they believe that this is what is needed to run the US and the world. Unfortunately it's taken the US population a long time to realize what is going on, and it's too late for so many people who have been screwed by the policies the Bush administration has pursued.

  7. Ummm - it has precedent dating back a hundred years at least.  The law is that an executive branch person does not have to adhere to a Congressional summons when the President orders him/her not to because of executive privilege,  What we are seeing is simply political gamesmanship; a fishing trip in the unpredictable Federal court system in the hopes of helping in the Presidential election.  Both parties have tried this stupidity in the past but the court scheme is a new low.  Hopefully it will be thrown out of court in the first go round and maybe it will cause Pelosi to go away too.

How many n***s had lawyers willing to represent them or were allowed legal council?  It is the way (and the law) of military tribunals for war criminals and is often used against sabateurs.

Bottom line:  Nothing unusual here - nothing wrong (at least in the above given examples).
